Alzheimer’s Scotland – Action on Dementia has outlined a planner for the next few D Cafes and Carer Support Group dates.
Dementia Café’s (D’café’s)
There are 3 D’café’s in the Dundee locality – V&A, St Aidan’s & Dundee Northend
- D’cafes provide an informal social setting to enjoy a cuppa and gain peer support from others who are living with Dementia.
- A Dementia Advisor is on hand to offer information & Support
- D’café’s are open to carers*, and those with a Dementia diagnosis; and also those who are concerned about their memory
*Carers can be spouses, partners, family, friends, neighbours and supporters
Carer Support: Carer Coffee & Catch up
Carer Coffee & catch up, is for those who support individuals with Dementia, who are in the process of getting a diagnosis or are concerned about their memory
- D’cafés provide an informal social setting to enjoy a cuppa and access peer support from others who are supporting an individual with Dementia.
- A Dementia Advisor is on hand to offer information & Support
