The Marie Curie phoneLine 0800 090 2309 provides free, confidential and practical assistance to anyone affected by terminal illness. Whether you have questions on day-to-day care, want to better understand symptoms or treatment, are looking for financial information or just need someone to talk to – we’re here for you.
You can also choose to speak to a nurse if you have any health questions or concerns. This could be about anything from understanding a diagnosis to explaining treatments or talking through symptoms.
The service is open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 11am – 5pm Saturday.

The Marie Curie Information and Support Line is a free service where anything discussed will remain confidential, unless there is a risk of serious harm to you or others, and in some other specific circumstances outlined in our confidentiality statement.
Marie Curie’s Information and Support Line is not an out-of- hours or emergency service. The addition of clinical information and support to the service will not replace, but be complementary to NHS services, and is designed to help people to process, understand and manage complex information and challenging situations.
Marie Curie provide palliative and end of life care for patients across Scotland through our Hospices and Nursing Services, providing care for patients in the setting of their choice.
