Scottish Carer’s Assistance Research

Researchers from the Scottish Government are helping to design Scottish Carer’s Assistance and are hoping to run interviews over the next few months.

They will last a maximum of an hour and be conducted via video call or over the phone. Information gathered at these interviews with assist in making Scottish Carer’s Assistance the best it can be for the people of Scotland.

Scottish Carer’s Assistance will be a replacement for Carer’s Allowance which is currently administered by the Department for Work and Pensions.

Research sessions can be scheduled to a specific date and time to suit you.

What will the research involve?

  • The research session will take no longer than 60 minutes.
  • You will be shown parts of an early version of the application form for Scottish Carers Assistance to check if it make sense to you.
  • The research will take place over a video call – and you will be given clear instructions on how to access the call.
