During the summer, we have been working to create an online portal that will house information on young carer support available in schools across Dundee.
The portal can be used by young carers, carers and their families along with support staff, to direct them to key contacts in schools rather than contacting multiple places to get the information they need.
Each school will have a “profile” with information such as; Young Carer Coordinators, Dundee Carer Centre link worker, Young Carer Ambassadors (secondary schools only), and information on groups and events running. The portal also has a filter function allowing users to search results based on school category and locality.
