Free art sessions for people living with dementia and their informal carers.

Do you care for a person who is living with dementia?

The University of Dundee looking for people living with dementia and their informal carer to take part in free sensory art sessions at DCA (Dundee Contemporary Arts) conducted by an art therapist from the University of Dundee. These sessions aim to promote experiences of selfhood and positive social exchanges through shared art-making.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • You have a relative who is living with a diagnosis of dementia.
  • You are their informal carer or share a very close relationship with them.
  • You can both travel to Dundee for three art sessions on the 6th,13th and 20th May 2024.

Participation involves:

  • Participating in three in-person art sessions, each lasting around 1 hour. These involve shared art making activities conducted by a certified art therapist. All materials and equipment will be provided by the research team.
  • Optional: completing a feedback form and participating in a short interview to share your experiences.

In appreciation of your time, all participants will receive a £10 voucher.
