Lucinda Godfrey is to leave her position as Chief Executive Officer of Dundee Carers Centre after more than 16 years at the helm of the charity.
She departs to start a new post as Chief Executive Officer at the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations (ACOSVO) but will remain in her current role until September to attend the AGM and to help the Board of Trustees ensure a smooth transition for the new Chief Executive.
Lucinda joined Dundee Carers Centre in 2003 and worked in a managerial role specifically supporting young carers, before becoming CEO in 2006.
Lucinda Godfrey said:
“I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to lead the Centre, it has been a truly amazing experience and I’m very proud of everything we have achieved. It’s an exciting time for someone new to take the reins and bring a fresh energy and ideas.
I want to thank the Board of Trustees, our amazing team and all the partners and organisations I have worked with over the years who have shared that passion and commitment to make things better.
To the people we serve, thank you for trusting me and for the inspiration and guidance, which has undoubtedly brought out my best.
I wish the Centre every success in the future, and I know that it will continue to be successful and go on to achieve many more things.”

Dundee Carers Centre will start the recruitment process for a new CEO imminently.
