About this Event

Ever wondered if self-employment might work for you?
Have you just started self-employment and need some advice?
Interested in meeting other carers who are self-employed?

If so, this information and networking session is for you! Self-employment can be a flexible way to gain an income while caring, but everyone needs a bit of advice and support to make their ideas a reality.

In this session Sarah Young, Outreach Business Advisor at Business Gateway will give an introduction to self-employment, followed by time for questions and a chance to meet other carers who are (or are thinking about becoming) self-employed. Who knows… maybe you’ll meet your next client or collaborator!

A carer is anyone who provides unpaid support to someone who couldn’t manage without it. This could be because of an illness, disability, frailty, mental health issue or drug or alcohol dependency. Still not sure if you count as a carer? Take this quick quiz to find out.
