About this Event
DVVA and SKY UK’s Time to Care are working in partnership to provide basic IT support and advice to people aged 60+.
This pilot project aims to increase older people’s confidence in using smartphones, tablets, and laptop devices. However, people under 60 are also welcome to drop by!
A range of 1:1 support and practical advice is available to answer older people’s queries which can include (not limited to):
- Email messaging – creating an account, sending emails, blocking spam messages, unsubscribing from unwanted email
- Internet browsing – looking for information and shopping online, watching YouTube videos
- Smartphone queries – adding contacts to your phone, downloading apps such as WhatsApp, and Skype, familiarizing your phone settings
This is a face-to-face drop-in so take your devices and questions with you to us… free of charge! Refreshments are available in a comfortable and friendly environment, too.
