Time: 9.30am – 11.30am
Location: C Gate, Dundee Carers Centre, Seagate House, 132-134 Seagate, Dundee, DD1 2HB
Carer Interest Network is a means of working together more effectively and proactively in meeting the needs of carers. The Network is open to all organisations providing generic and targeted support to unpaid carers across Dundee.
The guest presenters at the upcoming gathering include:
- Community Health Team – Catrina Boal will join the network to present information about the Community Health Team. The team provides capacity-building support to local people and practitioners to develop skills and knowledge that will improve physical and mental health and wellbeing in designated communities in the city.
- Wellgate Day Support – Andrea Steadman and Pam Brown will share information about the Wellgate Day Support Service for adults with learning disabilities and will talk about the support available to carers through the service.
At the session we will have input from Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) Involving People Lead, Maxine Dinnes, who will update on the new SSSC Involving People Plan 2019/2020.
There will also be an opportunity to find out about a new program of free Carer and Workforce training starting this autumn being delivered by specialists from across Health and Social Care covering a range of topics based on requests from Dundee carers and workforce.
